"My PC is better than yours..."
After few hours of fighting with HDD encryption (LUKS), SSL certificates and IOMMU, I can finally say that the new AMD Phenom(tm) II X3 720 based server is up and running in the Kilo-office. From now on all the hard-drive content is software encrypted and new server has 4 GB of 1066 MHz RAM. Case cooling was also improved keeping the new system more stable with less fan noise. Special thanks to Jimm's PC and Verkkokauppa for the hardware and Misters Korpi, Riihonen, Mak and Choo for shopping trips. :-)
One problem that still exists after the upgrade is the layout of Alaparkki.com gallery-pages. For some unknown reason the pictures are now wider than before and they kill the template like in this one. (Fixed 13 Sep 2009 - dropped few pixels manually)
Logged upgrade errors were;
- error_log = (13)Permission denied: access to / denied (Apache)
- RSA server certificate is a CA certificate (BasicConstraints: CA == TRUE !?) (Apache SSL)
- RSA server certificate CommonName (CN) `localhost.localdomain' does NOT match server name!? (Apache SSL)
- Your BIOS doesn't leave a aperture memory hole. Please enable the IOMMU option in the BIOS setup. This costs you 64 MB of RAM. (Linux Kernel)
